[ We're getting off to a great start, by which I mean, of course, a terrible one. All of my pc starters really are just establishing Daan in a blanket which is a little embarrassing, but overpowers the mortifying ordeal of being known. ]
...We're no closer to expanding our boundaries, are we...
[ We're still stuck here in our circle. ]
...It's already the fourth day.
[ He says that with a particular sense of distance. ]
I can't say I have enough comfort to be able to think beyond my own, immediate survival right now...
That would be a problem, but do you think we have what it takes to dismantle the cult itself on top of everything when we can't even escape our little circle right now?
[ He would... feel bad that someone would be in his place, but he doesn't exactly have much freedom of choice. ]
If we weren't trapped here maybe we could, but trapped as we are? That's asking for a little too much.
[As she sees it this is just stalling. Which...hey, she can't complain because it means not being sacrificed, but also if they're supposed to destroy the cult or something then...how? How are they supposed to do that?]
[Erin approaches Daan. In her hand she has the poll list for saddest person in town.
"Daan, I heard Aventurine was clutching this, and he underlined your name several times. You're the culprit, aren't you?"
.............
Okay, no, that didn't happen. Erin is wandering around, though, coming out of the fog in any of the locations that were investigated. Seeing Daan, she sighs]
This would be all more tolerable if the places didn't keep hiding everything.
Daan is like... staring at the posters that were mysteriously put up, and he's downright on edge when she approaches, head whipping around to look at her. ]
[ Someone is softly cursing under his breath, albeit somewhat mild, as they flit around the outskirts of the cemetery and parts of their camp village. He's just doing a check-in real quick. ]
[ Find Daan in the cabinet of curiosities, making a distinct frown while looking at the items there. He's absently got his arms crossed, tapping his forearm with a finger.
He doesn't seem to immediately notice the presence of anyone else entering right away. ]
[Erin comes in, going to take a look at the artifacts on display. They make her chuckle, a bit bitterly]
Okay, if anything is cursed it has to be this stuff. I hope nobody falls for these.
[It's futile, though, she intrinsically knows these items' offers are genuine. She's staring at the bracelet that protects you from death -- it's a bit tempting, given the, you know, murdergame situation]
Yeah, but even cursed items still fulfill a purpose... most times. Just that whether reason will pull through in most people -- or if selfishness wins.
[ This is hecked up dude. Also really love how I wrote that placeholder in the desc body of this catchall and at this point I am like I don't, I really don't know why I thought a David Bowie song would be good here. ]
[ He's going to be a bit later in the night, but eventually, probably -- he'll approach the pyre and slump down into a bench. He's got a bottle or glass or whatever of the refectory stuff and the only reason he doesn't look worse is because this is pretty low alc by volume and he only feels like drinking so much. ]
[Welcome to Lakeview Hotel! Erin just entered the lobby, looking around at it with a somewhat tired expression]
Okay, this hotel has sketchy written all over it. If this turns out to be a completely normal hotel and nothing happens during the next few days, I'll eat someone's hat.

Yeah, we have been here for enough time -- but if we escape, others will take our place. War warned me of that.
[Erin turns her head to look at him]
No judgment: if you had a way to escape right now, would you take it even if some random person ends up replacing you?

Where did you go?
no subject
[She sighs between her clenched teeth]
But it's just not working out. It's looking perfectly normal, I Hate that. Hate with capital H.
[It's extremely bothersome because, well, how's she going to get all this frustration out if she can't even investigate?]

Too many for just possession... it has to be.

[Erin seems kind of shaken. Her hands are a little bloody, she staring at them from time to time]
Yeah. Crazy.
[She mumbles, and looks up at Daan]
Think someone tried to get one of those objects?

You there?
[ In the fire. ]
no subject
Or not, she's there. She sees Daan with booze and sighs]
If you came here to show me you have alcohol and I don't that's pretty rude of you.
[Erin don't be rude towards Daan, the guy doesn't deserve that]
no subject
...
Dunno if I can pass it on over to you.
Guess you can have the rest of this, if you want.
...
You're pretty lucid.
