Mm. Namely that one outright didn't want to find his partner, and another one was unlikely to have looked for them, and even then I have a hard time imagining Mr. Akabane and Mr. Kasuga striking up the bond. So... likely three separate murders, though I'm happy to be proven wrong.
As for what else... I'll respect the people whose information this belongs to for now unless it comes in relevant later, but... I know a few powers, and how some strange occurrences might be explained by them if it happens to go that way.

I've heard of more people wishing not to find their partners than the other way around, by this point. [Which he thinks is valid given the risk versus reward they're looking at.] So I had assumed they were separate, as well.
