We do, yes. They protect the Royal Family in the event of dangerous issues among the populace... I'd say they aren't overly-popular, but it would be more accurate to say that the people rarely give them thought, given they tend to stay sequestered away in their castle.
I'm not sure what's the point of having a royal family at that point, but far be it from me to judge how other nations choose to handle their matters. I've never placed much importance in things like blood anyway.
