It seems the affliction manifested similarly to you as it did Karlach, in that case... Rather - I'm a little surprised by how different it seems to be for everyone.

Well... I suppose so. "Paranoia" seemed to be one of the later emotions that was common among the afflicted, though. I don't recall experiencing much of it, myself.

I wouldn't say paranoia didn't apply to me, but I do think it's hard to discern affliction from my regular state given everything I'd been through up until that point.

The only ability I feel I was able to make full usage out of was the golem's. Everything else, I either didn't feel inclined to or it was effectively useless for what I wanted to achieve -- such as gaining the bloodthirst curse, or becoming able to fabricate evidence.

A good thing, indeed... As far as good fortune goes, it does feel a bit strange to say "I'm quite lucky that this or that thing didn't happen while a monster was possessing me", but it's very true. For my part, I'm glad that the ability I had was relatively useless for my monster...
